ROOM CHANGE: Empower Your Students' Learning through QR Codes

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

QR codes are everywhere, and they are a great way to share information. How do we use them in our classrooms, and more importantly how can our students use them to learn our classroom curriculum? Examples of QR codes in lessons, as assessments, and forms of communication will be explored. QR coded activities will explore fractions, classification, Virginia regions, the periodic table, and classroom communication. This will be a BYOD session, and programs for creating QR codes along with suggested QR readers will be discussed. Participants will create a personal QR code during the session that can be saved on their personal device or emailed for later use. This will serve as a working example of how quickly and easily a QR code can be generated. Participants will learn to link QR codes to photos, videos, word docs etc. Emphasis will be given to using QR codes as part of the learning process, not simply a means to share information.
